 FCAT Results Update- Director's Message

The much-anticipated FCAT results have been released by NCS Pearson to schools after an unusual delay this particular year. However, we have been notified that individual student results will not be delivered to school sites by the Miami-Dade School distrcit until between July 19th through July 21st.

Once our school receives the individual scores, notification will take place on this website and the score sheets will be made available in the school lobby. Parents should see Ms. Rosy Polanco at the front desk when picking up the FCAT results. The school will be open from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM throughout the summer (please read further below for the detailed summary of summer hours).

Because individual testing information is confidential, results will only be released to parents or legal guardians and we kindly ask that a signature be provided on a verification roster as confirmation that the scores were received.

We realize that many parents work beyond 2:00 PM, therefore Miami Arts Charter School has established a procedure to ensure that parents and students are able to quickly and confidentially retrieve their scores without undue burden.

Parents may wish to authorize an adult delegate or family member to pick up the results by simply faxing a copy of their driver license and a letter of authorization stating the name of the individual they wish to be allowed to retrieve the results. The delegate must be prepared to provide a driver license for identification purposes and will be asked to sign the receipt roster. The fax number to the school for authorization purposes is (305) 573-5622.

Miami Arts Charter School thanks all students and parents for their patience during this unusual FCAT year. Typically, FCAT results are provided prior to the summer and this delay has made things a bit more challenging for everyone. Nevertheless, we are committed to not only distribute the results as quickly as we receive them, but we are already evaluating the results in order to provide informed instruction to our students as we seek to continue improving teaching and learning at our school.

Sincerely,

Alfredo de la Rosa, Director
Miami Arts Charter School
